Dr. Raman Thind-Gill was born and raised in Edmonton, Alberta. She received her Bachelor of Science from the University of Alberta, but then pursued her passion in optometry as a graduate of Aston University (UK) with a BSc (Hons) MC Optom. Upon her return to Canada, Dr. Thind-Gill graduated from the University of Waterloo’s International Optometric Bridging Program.
Dr. Thind-Gill’s interest in optometry began while she was working as an assistant at a local optometry clinic during her undergraduate studies. This position provided her with the knowledge and interest of helping people with their vision and selection of suitable eyewear/lenses. Dr. Thind-Gill enjoys being thorough in her examinations, so her patients are able to understand their eye health. She has a keen interest in dry eye therapy and studying ocular disease.
Dr. Thind-Gill is a member of the Alberta Association of Optometry, the Canadian Association of Optometry and the Calgary Society of Optometry.
Dr. Thind-Gill now resides in Calgary with her husband and dog, Rambo. She enjoys spending time with her family, travelling, watching her favorite reality TV shows and a good book from time to time.
